Věra Vejsová (*1956) is engaged in the creation of glass sculptures, the author’s design of utility glass, creates objects from natural materials, and her work also includes drawing and painting. The diverse work of this representative of the generation of glass artists who studied in the studio of Prof. Stanislav Libenský is characterized by a primary interest in the optimal combination of the form of artistic expression with the chosen content. At Schrott Gallery, we will present a cross-section of her work inspired by the spiritual legacy of Western culture (the morphology is based on the Platonic solids, the content on the other hand, the symbolism associated with the First Book of Moses - Genesis), and glass in various modifications and material execution serves as the starting point for motifs in space and surface.
