What does the journey of a glass object from the designer’s idea to its actual execution look like? What crafts, professions and materials do they encounter on this journey? How must a model be prepared for the individual stages of creation? Do models differ in material or execution during the creation of an object? Glass designer and artist Věra Vejsová will offer visitors to Saturday’s *artist talk” at Schrott Gallery the opportunity to gain an insight into the fascinating world of glassmaking.

Věra Vejsová (*1956) is engaged in the creation of glass sculptures, the author’s design of utility glass, creates objects from natural materials, and her work also includes drawing and painting. The diverse work of this representative of the generation of glass artists who studied in the studio of Prof. Stanislav Libenský is characterized by a primary interest in the optimal combination of the form of artistic expression with the chosen content.
