SATURDAY STUDIO: FOR AND AGAINST

A star, a cross, a plus and a minus. Simple but expressive gestures have accompanied Rudolf Sikora’s work for more than 50 years. Crosses with stars in the shapes of constellations recall the mysteries of the cosmos and the creation of the world, while topological drawings and photomontages of landscapes appeal to our concern for our planet and the restoration of balance to the environment. The program for children aged 6–12 with Robert Spurný will guide us through the colorful work of one of the most important figures in Slovak conceptual art, which includes photography, drawings, paintings, graphics, and performance art.
