Peter Ferebauer’s Imaginarium
The KreAt Studio presents an exhibition of Peter Ferebauer, a self-taught artist known on the Brno scene under the nickname Ferda. For many years, his paintings appeared in city cafés and bars, where they were occasionally sold amid the rhythm of evening life. Today, however, they find themselves in a different context – within the clean lines of the functionalist architecture of the Česká spořitelna exhibition space, where their vivid colors and expressive character dominate the calm environment.
His painting is restless, full of expressive strokes, untamed creatures, and ironic or mysterious motifs, which act as open maps of the human inner world – an imaginarium. Humor, irony, and a certain darkness coexist here, creating a space that at first glance feels fantastical, yet strangely close to our experience of the contemporary world. The artist is often described as an intuitive creator, a kind of intermediary between the world of ideas and the canvas. The result is work that continuously reveals new meanings every time a viewer returns.
The exhibition can be visited during the opening hours of Česká spořitelna.
