Music for Musicians and Audience
Musicians play, listeners listen—right? In a series of events titled “Music for Musicians and Audience,” things are different. As part of this year’s Brno Art Week festival program, Terén is presenting two participatory concerts that expand on the traditional relationship between performers and the audience. Composers and musicians Ján Podracký and Matúš Kobolka will perform two concert works in a single evening, inviting the audience to a shared experience of listening, playing, and playfulness.
Important information about admission: To participate in the event, you need a harmonica and a smartphone - the harmonica is included in the full admission fee (250 CZK), or you can bring your own in D or A tuning and purchase a reduced admission fee (150 CZK).

Ján Podracký: Harmony of Harmonicas
Ján Podracký’s composition for diatonic harmonicas is based on playing together while listening to oneself and others. A participatory concert that blends into breathing exercises and meditation. Heaps of humans, heaps of hubbub, heaps of harmony.
Matúš Kobolka: giltypležrs
Matúš Kobolka’s musical and sound event explores the feelings of shame, how to identify them and overcome them. An ensemble of smartphones will perform a composition based on a graphic score inspired by the karaoke format.
