Artist Talk: Open Studios Incubator Brno & Ostrava

Current residents of the Open Studios Incubator program will present their latest work directly in the authentic environment of the studios in Brno’s Barrack 24 on Kraví Hora. Within the open format of the Artist Talk, Brno residents Helena Ticháčková and Pavol Godiška, together with Ostrava residents Vendula Váňová and Elizabeth Kanabe, will talk about their creative processes and projects that they are developing during their one-year residency.

The Open Studios Incubator program serves as a key support for artists in the first phase of their professional careers. In Brno, the project has been operating for the fifth year in cooperation with the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Prague, while in Ostrava, it has been developing its activities for the second year with the support of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava. Artist Talk provides the public and the professional community with direct contact with the youngest generation of authors and the opportunity to gain insight into the intellectual background of works at the place of their creation, thus creating a space for critical dialogue, sharing experiences, and connecting both regional art scenes.
